And so the creatures of the former
Squirm and squeeze
Dense in their numbers
Soft in their flesh.
They sit in our darkness
In our folklore
Yet we are told
There is no dark side
Of the moon.
If we are all stardust (to dust)
Then why do I wake
in the night
Looking to the sky
For those missing constellations?
