Next Saturday June 16th is the 9th annual Global Earth Exchange Day. Organisers\u00a0Radical Joy for Hard Times<\/a>\u00a0invites people to ‘find and make beauty in wounded places”.\u00a0http:\/\/www.radicaljoyforhardtimes.org\/events\/2018-global-earth-exchange\/<\/p>\n

There are 7 simple steps to doing an Earth Exchange:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Go, alone or with friends, to a wounded place.<\/li>\n
  2. Sit awhile and share your stories about what the place\u00a0means to\u00a0you.<\/li>\n
  3. Get to know the place\u00a0as it\u00a0is\u00a0now.<\/li>\n
  4. Share what you discovered.<\/li>\n
  5. Make a simple gift of beauty\u2014often\u00a0a bird made of materials the place itself provides.<\/li>\n
  6. Take photos of the place, your group, your gift.<\/li>\n
  7. Send <\/a>Rad Joy a photo and a short description of what happened for their website.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This year, the Global Earth Exchange kicks off PEOPLE BINDING THE EARTH, a year-long project in which participants’ gifts to their beloved places will include marigold yellow yarn.<\/p>\n
